How counting works
Why it does not double-count
The counter is a two-state machine on one joint angle with a 12° hysteresis band. A rep is only credited when the angle travels past 104° and back beyond 156°, covers at least 45% of the target range, and is at least 0.55 s after the previous one. Partial reps are recorded and marked, not silently counted.
